Windsor Hospital believes in the concept of treatment planning and the interdisciplinary
team in providing an intensive, goal-directed treatment program.
Windsor Hospital believes in the dignity of the individual and is dedicated
to the principles of patient advocacy, protection of patient's rights, and the
mainstreaming of patients into the community. The treatment program is designed
to facilitate the individual's optimal level of involvement in the emotional,
social, occupational and educational pursuits of life.
Windsor Hospital involved in the community in the interest of the advancement of knowledge and services in the areas of psychiatry and mental health. Windsor Hospital supports the concept of a cooperative and reciprocal relationship between the public and private mental health systems.
Windsor Hospital is committed to providing a safe and therapeutic environment
for adolescents and adults dealing with psychiatric illness. Windsor Hospital
is a 40-bed private psychiatric facility and is fully accredited by the Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and licensed
by the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH).
With the goal of stabilizing acute psychiatric symptoms, Windsor's adolescent
(ages 13-18) program is designed to promote recovery, emphasizing strengths
and utilizing evidenced based treatment practices. While working collaboratively
with the family, referral sources, and others to coordinate planning, Windsor
Hospital provides treatment and education to stabilize the patient, strengthen
the family system, and provide for a smooth transition back into the community.

Windsor Hospital's inpatient program is designed to treat patients with a variety of psychiatric problems that cannot be resolved on an outpatient basis. Patients are admitted seven days per week. Upon admission, an assessment is completed by a multidisciplinary team and along with input from the patient, the patient's family, and/or significant other(s), the individualized treatment plan is developed. This treatment program may consist of:
- Carefully monitored medication regime
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
- Recreational therapy
- Art therapy
- Psycho-educational groups
- Chemical dependency treatment
- Behavioral modification techniques
- Interpersonal skills groups
Windsor's Outpatient Program: Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
PHP is the perfect program for people just out of the inpatient setting, or those in the community who are looking for a day program to help them cope with the stresses of life.
At times, everyone feels overwhelmed with life. It could be family or job issues,
issues with drugs or alcohol, or a mental illness that has you looking for added
support. Windsor's day program or PHP is an excellent way to learn new coping
skills, and build on the ones you already have.

- Changing your thinking to improve your mood
- Building self-esteem
- Assertiveness skills
- Stress and anxiety management
- Relapse prevention
