All therapy groups are conducted by psychiatrists, psychologists,
licensed therapists, social workers and counselors. Psychiatric
nurses work closely with physicians and assist with medications,
while mental health technicians coordinate daily living skills
and attend to other patient needs.

A multi-disciplinary team of professionals assesses each person's
needs and develops specific, individualized treatment plans with the
patient. Case management services ensure that individuals have
access to adequate resources when they return to the community.

Professionals are available at no cost to speak to organizations
on a variety of topics, from Understanding the Florida Mental Health
Law (The Baker Act), to coping with stress or identifying clinical
depression.

If you want to refer a patient to the hospital, our Admissions
team is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, including
holidays. Confidential consultations and brief assessments by
phone can help you determine appropriate care.
|
|
|
| |
Financial counseling prior to admission also is available. Weekdays
we can verify your insurance benefits to help guide you in deciding which
area facilities are approved by your insurance company. Windmoor
Healthcare accepts Medicare and most major insurances.

|
| |
When emergencies occur and a patient's personal physician is unable
to see the patient, Windmoor Healthcare staff can assess a patient's
needs to see if further evaluation and treatment are needed. Licensed
Clinical Social Workers also are available by appointment to evaluate
patients for inpatient care.
|
|
|
| |
Our professional staff consults with community resources continually
to identify the behavioral health needs of our community. New programs
are being developed to ensure that inpatient services are available
for individuals with special needs or other disabilities.
