Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program
West Hills Hospital's Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is
focused on recovery and relapse prevention and is composed of process,
therapy and psycho-educational groups. Homework assignments will be
given and the client will be required to attend community-based recovery
activities such as 12-step meetings, follow-up, one-on-one therapy, etc. Families are welcome to join in treatment on Thursdays.
Groups are held:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday from
9 a.m. to noon.
Lunch/Snack will be served.
Transportation is available.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Light dinner will be provided.
All admissions are voluntary. Each client is actively involved in the development
of their personalized treatment plan. Length of program participation varies
and is dependent on each individual’s specific needs.
Program Requirements
- Client is not in need of detoxification from drugs and/or alcohol
- Client will not engage in use of drugs and/or alcohol
- Client is free of any medical and/or psychological problems that would interfere with his/her ability to benefit from treatment in the IOP.
- Client is not at risk for harming himself/herself
- Client is not at risk for harming others
- Client agrees to attend and actively participate in all program activities
- Client agrees to attend community based recovery activities as agreed upon
- Client is responsible for providing his/her transportation to and from the program
- Client must be at least 18 years of age
- Specific addiction issues will be identified through assessment prior to admission into IOP.
