Assessments and Referrals

We offer free, confidential assessments and accept referrals 24 hours a day, seven days a week at (757) 627-LIFE. Our clinicians are able to answer questions, offer information and provide assessments.

Assessment Process

The assessment process involves a free, confidential, face-to-face interview. We ask questions about the current crisis as well as questions about any ongoing factors that might also affect the crisis situation. The assessment helps the clinician, the family and the individual to make the best decision about treatment alternatives.

Mobile Assessment Team

Sometimes a mental health crisis results in a trip to the emergency room. Our clinicians also provide on-site assessments at local emergency rooms, as well as urgent care centers, physicians' offices and schools.
