Chemical Dependency / Dual Diagnosis Program

Valle Vista Health System offers both Chemical Dependency detoxification and a Dual Diagnosis Program for adolescents and adults. The programs philosophy is to comfortably help the patient through detoxification and engage them in an ongoing outpatient course of treatment which is focused on ways to develop relapse prevention plans.

Patients are managed by a Board Certified Psychiatrists with expertise and certification in addictions or by a Board Certified Addiction Medicine Specialist. Dr. Burdine, Dr. Bose, Dr. Patel and Dr. Gaither have expertise in addictions. Our social work team is licensed and our nursing team has experience with chemical dependency.

The groups focus on relapse prevention, family involvement, coping, self-esteem, anger management, symptom management and medication management education. AA and NA meetings are also offered at the hospital.
