Psychiatric Treatment
Summit Oaks Hospital provides a safe environment for those who are experiencing acute behavioral health symptoms and are in need of comprehensive evaluation, crisis intervention and stabilization.
Patient care services are also rendered for dual diagnosis, a condition in which individuals suffer from both behavioral health and chemical dependency problems.
Mental health issues that we treat include:
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Dual diagnosis (chemical dependency and behavioral health)
- Most Axis II disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Schizoaffective disorder
- Schizophrenia (not acutely psychotic or agitated)
Inpatient treatment is provided by a clinically sound team led by a psychiatrist. Behavior and medication are closely monitored. Patients learn to identify and understand their mental illness, and are taught how to safely manage psychiatric symptoms.
