Intensive Outpatient Program
IOP is more intensive than traditional outpatient and is designed to achieve short-term stabilization and resolution of immediate problem areas. The patient and family are offered services by a team of professionals. The patient is enrolled in a time-limited program with other patients working on similar issues. The treatment team may include licensed therapists, nurses, program specialists and a doctor.
Streamwood Behavioral Health Center offers an intensive outpatient program
for children aged 6-12 and adolescents aged 13-18. This program is defined as
a time-limited, ambulatory, active treatment program which provides structured,
therapeutically intensive group and individual clinical interventions to the
patient. This service is provided at our Streamwood location Monday through
Friday for four hours each day after school.
