First Poplar Springs Day Academy Graduation

Our first graduate of Poplar Springs Day Academy was honored on Thursday, June 12, 2008. Our graduate worked very hard to complete all the requirements needed to receive a high school diploma from his home town.

The ceremony began with a processional to "Pomp and Circumstance" with the graduate in cap and gown. The ceremony was attended by the graduate's family, honored guests and Poplar Springs staff. Several speakers gave inspiring messages and encouraged everyone to continue their quest for betterment in their lives.

The graduate was presented with a framed portrait of himself in cap and gown along with a watch. After the ceremony, a cookout was provided in his honor.
