Treatment Options
Long-term therapeutic residential programs are available for the following
adolescents ages 10-17:
- Psychiatric disorders, behavioral disorders, emotional difficulties
- Developmentally delayed
- Sexually offensive behavior
- At-risk youth who have been placed on probation or parole by a juvenile
justice system and have underlying emotional issues
Education
The Oaks Treatment Center operates a year-round on-site school accredited by
SACS providing multiple educational opportunities. Educational services are
based on the resident's need, potential and capabilities. An educational assessment
is completed for each resident upon admission and is utilized to guide the course
of the resident's education while in treatment. The school is accredited by
the Southern Association of Colleges (SACS).
Educational services are individualized, provided in a group setting on campus. The academic program includes a regular education and special education curricula to meet the diverse needs of our residents. Preparation and testing for the GED also are offered.
