River Park Hospital Welcomes New Staff Physician
Dr. Nancy Grossman Relocates Based on Desire to be Part of First-Rate Facility
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - (July 30, 2009) - River Park Hospital, a 165-bed behavioral health facility for children, adolescents and adults, recently announced the addition of Nancy Grossman, D.O., to its psychiatric staff. Grossman relocated to the Huntington-based hospital in June following her experiences working at the facility as a locum tenens physician.
"The staff at River Park Hospital were very welcoming, and I became engaged with the patients and therapeutic team very quickly. I have been particularly impressed with the quality and experience of the professionals and their dedication to improve the lives of patients," Grossman said. "River Park Hospital is one of the best hospitals I have worked in."
Grossman comes to River Park Hospital, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. facility, from Florida following several years providing locum tenens services through Texas-based Staff Care. She joined the facility on a full-time basis-coming out of a partial retirement-due to the solid relationship established with the staff and community.
Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Grossman will be working primarily with River Park Hospital's adult and geriatric populations. She was previously the outpatient psychiatric director for Hackettstown Regional Medical Center in New Jersey, where she also operated a full-time private practice for nearly 12 years.
"It is a privilege to have Dr. Grossman join our team here at River Park Hospital. She has established a strong rapport with patients and staff, and she will be a tremendous asset to our mission to provide the best care possible," said River Park Hospital Interim CEO Karen Yost. "She is a compassionate physician and a strong advocate for her patients. Dr. Grossman brings a wealth of experience to our facility."
Dr. Grossman has worked in the psychiatric field for more than 20 years. She received her doctor of osteopathic medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
