How soon can I get an appointment?
Immediately, because an appointment is not necessary. You can come to Millwood
anytime and obtain information or an assessment. If it is more convenient to
have an appointment, call (817) 261-3121 and schedule a convenient time.
What happens in an "assessment"?
An assessment is a private meeting with a qualified mental health professional.
Questions are asked to guide the discussion about the problems at hand. Assessments
usually take about 45 minutes to an hour. Recommendations will be made to address
the identified problems, and options for treatment will be provided.
How does a patient pay for care at Millwood?
Millwood accepts most insurance, personal and business checks, all major credit cards, and can also make individual "private pay" arrangements.
What if I don't have insurance?
We make every effort to provide services to anyone who presents a need, even
if the financial resources are limited. Millwood staff will help you determine
the most cost-effective resources for care.
How will I know if I or a loved one has a "real" problem?
Although there are specific signs and symptoms to identify mental health and
chemical dependency problems, each situation is different. We suggest you speak
with a professional to discuss your concerns. Remember to take all suicidal
comments or actions seriously. If you are concerned about the possibility of
suicide, take steps immediately come to Millwood, or go to the nearest emergency
room. In the event of any medical emergency, call 911 or go directly to a hospital
emergency room.
