Residential Treatment Services
Boys Residential Treatment
Long-term program designed to assist male youths in developing more effective
daily managment skills. This cognitive-behavioral program is based upon a level
system of privileges and rewards for appropriate behavior. Patients participate
in individual, group and family therapy, with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
The patients also attend school during their stay, affording them the opportunity
to catch up and maintain their grade level.
Girls Residential Treatment
The Girls' Residential Treatment Center is designed to serve the needs of adolescent
females, aged 12-18. Young ladies participating in the program will work on
developing effective life management skills. Patients who have not graduated high school attend Del Rey School,
which is housed on the Mesilla Valley Hospital campus, and also participate
in individual and group therapy programs.
All individuals in the residential programs attend Del Rey School, an accredited
Las Cruces Public School housed in the hospital.
