Chris Ruble - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ruble was hired in October 2003 and charged with creating a much-needed residential treatment center for dually diagnosed adolescent boys. Mr. Ruble was intimately involved in every step of the creation of Liberty Point, from locating a property to developing the programming, policy and procedure. Mr. Ruble was promoted from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer in July 2006. Prior to the creation of Liberty Point, Mr. Ruble worked for the Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services as a Human Rights Advocate in Children's programs.

 

Jim Krag, M.D., FAPA

Dr. Krag is board certified in psychiatry and has been working with children, adolescents and adults since graduating from the University of Virginia psychiatry residency in 1990. He worked at DeJarnette Center (now Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents) in Staunton for five years and participated with UVA faculty in the psychiatry residency and the Addiction Sciences Center.

While working in private practice, Dr. Krag helped establish the adolescent residential treatment program at Charter Hospital in Charlottesville. In 1996, he began work as the psychiatrist for Valley Community Services Board's Children Family Team and from 1998 to August 2006 he was their medical director. Dr. Krag helped establish and was president of the Virginia Association of Community Services Board from 1991 to 1995 and remains active with the organization. Dr. Krag is a member of the Board of the Psychiatric Society of Virginia.

 

Kathryn Dickerson - Coordinator of Admissions and Performance Improvement

Ms. Dickerson was hired by Liberty Point in June 2004 and has covered many responsibilities within the facility, including utilization review, admissions, performance improvement and risk management. Prior to working with Liberty Point, Ms. Dickerson worked at the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents. She graduated from Bridgewater College in 2002 with a bachelor's of science in psychology. Ms. Dickerson has worked with Habitat for Humanity, building houses for victims of Hurricane Georges in southern Florida, and volunteers for Camp Unali, a camp for children who are cancer survivors or have sickle cell anemia.

 

Kenny Diggs - Operations Coordinator

Mr. Diggs was the first person hired by Mr. Ruble to assist in the creation of Liberty Point. Mr. Diggs has worked with children in Virginia for 25 years in a variety of settings, from military school to juvenile corrections and psychiatric hospitals. Mr. Diggs is remarkably skilled in training and mentoring staff members in working with challenging adolescents. Most recently, Mr. Diggs worked as a team leader for the Commonwealth's Center for Children and Adolescents.
