Chemical Dependency Program
Alcoholism and other chemical addictions are chronic, progressive and possibly terminal illnesses. Chemical dependency reduces the overall quality of life and can create major health problems. Abstinence from addictive substances will put the disease in remission and dedication to a strong program will provide protection from relapse. Laurel Ridge has various levels of care to meet the needs of all chemically dependent adults.
Inpatient Detoxification Program Treatment
While the philosophy of the chemical dependency program is to provide treatment on an outpatient basis whenever possible, some patients may require a short stabilization period due to their physical dependence on alcohol or other drugs. A physician and highly trained staff focus this level of care on stabilizing a patient in crisis with 24-hour supervision.
The 12-step treatment model includes the following:
- Multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Group therapy
- Community AA meetings
- Chemical dependency
- Individualized treatment services
- Multi-family education
- Experiential challenge activities
- Discharge planning group
Partial Hospitalization Program
The focus of this program is to keep the patient in the home and the community while offering intensive treatment that provides the foundation to begin the recovery process. The program is designed for individuals who require a highly structured program to disrupt the use of chemically addicting substances, providing an intensity of treatment similar to inpatient hospitalization, while allowing the patient to return home at night. Program hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Intensive Outpatient Program
This program is for the individual who is committed to overcoming chemical dependency and who realize the difficulties alcohol or other drugs are causing in their lives and do not require detoxification. Treatment focuses on helping the individual identify, develop, and practice lifestyle changes required to remain chemically free.
Intensive Outpatient Program Hours
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Multi-family Education Program from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays
Aftercare Services
Each patient receives Aftercare Services at no charge after completion of the program. The patient's families and support system may also attend. Laurel Ridge provides weekly multi-family education group sessions to address family roles, chemical dependency problems, as well as a range of issues related to recovery.
