Youth Suicide Prevention
Founded in 1997, the Jason Foundation has dedicated its mission to
help educate parents and families, teachers, youth workers, community
professionals and especially youth on the "Silent Epidemic" of youth
suicide. The program provides no-cost education and awareness programs
taught locally in and around the communities served by Heritage Oaks
Hospital. The core focus is on prevention through education. The
Foundation offers a range of programs, including a school-based
curriculum for grades 7-12, parent seminars, and teacher in-service education.
All materials are free of cost to the community.
