New CEO
Havenwyck Hospital announces Robert Kercorian
as its new Chief Executive Officer. Actually, Robert Kercorian is not new to
Havenwyck; he previously served as its CEO from 1989 through 1999. Mr. Kercorian
returns to Havenwyck after four years with Henry Ford Health System where he
performed the duties of Associate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
for the Behavioral Health Division. During this time, he expanded his focus
on improving the quality of psychiatric patient care. In addition, Mr. Kercorian
has served in several other key executive positions throughout his career in
mental health. Those positions include: St. Joseph Mercy Hospital - Oakland,
where he served as the Administrator of the Harold E. Fox Center/Department
of Psychiatry, Director of the Outpatient Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Clinic,
and Director of Social Work Department for both Psychiatric and Medical services;
as well as St. John Hospital, where he served as the Director of Social Services.
Mr. Kercorian's credentials include a Master
of Social Work Degree from Wayne State University; a Master of Science Degree
in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University; and a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. Additionally,
he is a State Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor; member of the Academy
of Certified Social Workers (ACSW); Board Certified Diplomat (BCD); and a Diplomat
of Clinical Social Workers (DCSW).
Havenwyck Hospital is proud to welcome Mr. Kercorian
back as its new CEO and look forward to his leadership in positioning Havenwyck
as the premier "provider of choice" in the mental health community.
Havenwyck Appoints Physicians to its Medical
Staff
Robert Kercorian, CEO of Havenwyck Hospital,
appointed Henry F. Woodworth, MD to the post of Hospital Medical Director. Previous
to his appointment, Dr. Woodworth served as the Medical Director of Havenwyck's
Residential Treatment Center; a 35-bed residential community-based program specifically
designed for children and adolescents ages 10-17 with emotional and/or behavioral
impairments, which require them to be in a 24-hour supervised therapeutic setting.
Ismail Sendi, MD has had a status change from
Consulting Medical Staff to Active Medical Staff. Previously, Dr. Sendi had
been the Child/Adolescent Medical Director at Henry Ford Kingswood Hospital.
Also, Dr. Sendi served as the Director of Fairlawn Center for more than 25 years.
Habib Vaziri, MD was appointed to the Active
Medical Staff. Dr. Vaziri has been the Medical Director, Department of Psychiatry
at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Fox Center since 1972. He specializes in Adult,
Adolescent, Child and Geriatric Psychiatry.
