What is Visions at Fox Run?
Visions at Fox Run is an intense, individualized residential psychiatric treatment
program. Visions provides a secure environment, programming and educational
services to males and females between the ages of 12-17 with an IQ between 50
and 70. The program is designed to teach residents new ways to modify behaviors
that prevent them from living safely and productively in the community.
What is the primary goal of Visions?
The primary goal of Visions is to assist the resident and their families to find new ways to support the child in returning to the community.
What type of person receives treatment at Visions?
Children and adolescents who have symptoms associated with:
- Axis I psychiatric diagnosis
- Coping with trauma and abuse
- IQ between 50 and 70
- Problems with self-esteem
- Are medically stable
- Sexual, physical and verbal abuse
- Family conflicts
- Difficult to manage behaviors
How is Individual Treatment Program at Visions developed?
Visions uses an interdisciplinary team approach to design the individual treatment
program and personal goals for each resident. Members of this team include:
- Resident
- Case managers
- Therapist
- Parents/guardians
- Teachers
- Psychiatrist
- Nursing staff
- Community partners
- Expressive therapist
Each member of this team has insight into how the resident acts and responds
to different activities and situations. Incorporating this knowledge helps
Fox Run's clinical staff develop a program that best fits the needs of each
resident.
