Psychiatric Assessment Team

The Fairfax Psychiatric Assessment Team (P.A.T.) is available to assess, triage, and refer individuals who are experiencing severe emotional, psychiatric, behavioral, and/or substance abuse problems. The escalation of a crisis may be prevented by calling the Fairfax P.A.T. The team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Psychiatric Assessment Team Features

Assessments are provided as a community service by P.A.T. evaluators who are registered mental health counselors and trained psychologists, social workers and counselors.
The clinicians are trained and experienced in assessing problems associated with mental health issues of children, adolescents and adults.
Individuals are referred to appropriate community services according to need and financial resources.
Appointments may be scheduled ahead of time at our facility.

When Is Assessment Needed?

Psychiatric assessment and referral service may be helpful for individuals or family members experiencing:

Abuse Issues
Anxiety
Behavioral problems
Depression
Eating disorders
Job crisis
Personality disorders
Psychotic reactions
School crisis
Stress
Suicidal thoughts or plans
Threatening or destructive behavior
