Cumberland Seger House is a six-bed group home. Its home-like environment is just for boys, ages 8 thru 21, who may need longer-term care in a highly structured setting.
Children served at Seger House present with severe mental retardation and behavioral and emotional problems. They may have difficulty communicating or socializing, and may have problems getting around and taking care of their basic needs.
At Seger House, children go to school in the local community and see medical professionals as needed. They participate in activities designed to help them learn to take care of themselves, have fun with others and go on outings in the community---places like the park, grocery store, library and special events.
