Day Treatment for Children and Adolescents

Southgate School The Southgate School at Cedar Springs Hospital provides a nurturing, structured environment for children and adolescents who have experienced significant difficulties with their families, communities, or schools.

Our highly-trained, dedicated staff are committed to helping our students learn new coping skills, develop healthy relationships, and experience success in a more controlled and therapeutic environment than public school can provide. We emphasize behavior management and self-control while improving academic and social skills.

Our goal is to facilitate lasting change and a smooth reintegration into the community. As a transition program for the child or adolescent who has successfully completed a more intensive level of care, we provide a supportive environment in which they may practice their newly learned skills.
