Directions
The Directions Office at Cedar Springs Hospital helps people find their way to an appropriate level of mental health treatment. We are sensitive to the needs of those in crisis. No one wants to be shuffled from facility to facility before finding the care they need. In an effort to minimize any "runaround," the staff in the Directions Office provides a free telephone consultation.
Those who require immediate assessments are routed to the appropriate facility (local emergency room, emergency services, Cedar Springs, etc). Callers who are in need of mental health services, but are not in need of psychiatric hospitalization are referred to an outpatient provider who best fits their needs (considering treatment specialties and insurance/payment requirements).
Cedar Springs does not have an emergency department.
All assessments are confidential, by appointment, and free of charge.
