To the Families

Clients are encouraged to focus on their recovery at Calvary Center, therefore we do not have visiting hours. Any visits must be approved by the therapist. Clients are allowed limited phone time every day. Families and friends are welcome to send letters, cards, etc. No food please!

Communications between therapists and client is strictly confidential. However, family members may be contacted to assist with aftercare planning.

Learn to care for yourself and give healthy support to your loved one by attending W.E.C.A.R.E. Weekend.

What to Bring

  • Picture ID
  • Social Security Card
  • Health insurance card
  • Clothing for one week
  • Shoes, casual and recreational
  • Sleepwear (modest)
  • Swimsuits (modest, summer only)
  • Clothes hangers
  • Laundry soap, fabric softener
  • Laundry bag
  • Towel and washcloth
  • Personal care items, 30 day supply
  • Medications, 30 day supply
    • no habit forming medications
    • must be in original container
    • with label intact
    • pills may not be mixed
  • Paper, pens, pencils, envelopes stamps, 3 ring binder
  • Spending money no more than $150
  • Bring quarters laundry and vending machines

Do Not Bring

  • Items containing alcohol (perfume/cologne, mouthwash)
  • Cigars, pipes, or chewing tobacco
  • Cards, dice, and any games of chance
  • Aerosol cans (pump hairspray only)
  • Electronic/Entertainment equipment
    (radios, TV’s, video games, cameras, laptops, PDA/Palm Pilot, etc.)
  • Reading material that is not recovery/spiritually oriented
  • Food or beverages, candy or gum
  • Liquid bleach
  • Nail polish and/or remover
  • Clothing that advertises bars, alcohol, drugs, gambling or offensive subjects
  • No sleeveless, spaghetti straps or strapless tops, short shorts, or tight clothes
  • Pornographic materials
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Vehicles, bicycles

Optional

  • Cell phone & charger
  • Cigarettes, 30-day supply
  • Personal CD player (no radio)
  • Alarm clock (no radio)
  • Only Christian music is allowed
  • Reading material (Bible, recovery and Devotional materials only)
    • Big Book
    • 12 steps
    • 12 Traditions
    • Daily Reflections and Life Recovery
    • Bibles are provided by Calvary Center. Other recovery-oriented books are available for purchase.
