Treatment Program
The
healing process at Calvary Center begins with a phone call to one of our trained
counselors at 602-279-1468 or 866-76-SOBER. Our team of professionals will gather
information about each client's history and provide assistance with insurance
and payment arrangements.
An assessment is made to determine if clients are at risk for severe withdrawal. If medical detoxification is required, a client may be admitted to an affiliated detoxification facility or hospital to relieve withdrawal symptoms.
After a client is admitted to Calvary Center, a comprehensive assessment is completed to assist in developing an individual treatment plan. The client begins the treatment program working closely with their primary therapist who will encourage the client to honestly examine their alcohol and drug use and the resulting consequences.
Calvary Center's program incorporates a variety of therapeutic tools that include educational components, individual and group counseling, 12 Step meetings, and a family program for those who are close to the client. Clients will learn about triggers, relapse symptoms, healthy communication, and coping skills. They will learn to identify underlying core issues such as co-dependency, anger, shame, and grief.
Calvary believes that a successful recovery program must include spiritual recovery and encourages each client to renew his or her relationship with God. The program incorporates two tracks, a Christ-centered track and a traditional 12 Step track. Time for devotions, meditation, and Bible study is offered each day, and Christian principles are integrated into the lectures and therapy sessions.
Residential care provides a structured environment that allows the client to focus on various behavioral and emotional issues that need to be resolved, and guides the client as they begin to break the cycle of substance abuse or problem gambling and take responsibility for their new life of recovery.
