Problem Gambling
Affordable faith-based residential treatment programs
for substance abuse and problem gambling
Since 1964 Calvary Center in Phoenix, Arizona has been nationally recognized as a leader in affordable residential
treatment programs for recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. In 2007 Calvary Center has embarked on the same
quality recovery services to address the growing issues of problem gambling.
Following the models of our 30-day drug and alcohol recovery programs, Calvary Center offers two separate tracks of
treatment, a Christian Track and a traditional 12-step track.
Calvary Center works with clients to break their addictive patterns. The residential treatment model gives the client the best
opportunity to recover because there is time to get to the root of the addictive behaviors. This program model
includes individual counseling, group therapy and family counseling and provides an aftercare follow-up program of counseling
and activities for those who choose to participate.
There is no prototype compulsive gambler as they come in all ages and both genders. The uniqueness of the Calvary Center
program model is its commitment to discover the person with a dual-diagnosis, or addiction to both alcohol or drugs and
gambling and to provide them with services accordingly.
