Pre-Teen Services

Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital

Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital's acute pre-teen unit offers a comprehensive treatment program to help young adolescents who suffer from mood and thought disorders. This may include depression/anxiety, impulse control, obsessive compulsive disorders, or possibly a situational crisis. Young adolescence is a major transitional time in your child's life. Pre-teens are not quite teenagers yet but have left young childhood behind with elementary school. They need support to assist them in developing strong peer and family relationships, as well as ego strength. Brooke Glen offers education and support to address sexual issues and the exposure to drugs and alcohol abuse that may accompany mental health crisis. Young adolescents ages 11 through 13 who are experiencing these or other difficulties may be eligible for admission into this unit.
