PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION SERVICES
In order to facilitate individualized treatment
planning, comprehensive psychological evaluation services are provided to each
adolescent in the early stages of treatment. A psychologist specializing in
the assessment of adolescents utilizes an array of objective test instruments
to assess a youth's intellectual, emotional, and social functioning; as well
as propensity for substance abuse and dependence. A psychosexual evaluation
is conducted with patients admitted to programs for sexual behavior problems.
As clinically indicated, a patient's sexual arousal profile may be assessed
as a means of developing informed relapse prevention plans and tracking progress
in treatment. Assessment of risk for sexual and violent recidivism may be conducted
upon request. Neuropsychological screening is available to determine the need
for a referral to a specialist provider.
MEDICAL SERVICES
A team of qualified physicians, including two
board-certified psychiatrists, provide 24-hour medical and psychiatric care.
