Dual Diagnosis

Arrowhead building

Dual diagnosis treatment addresses addiction as well as any underlying psychiatric disorders. Arrowhead Behavioral Health believes this treatment approach creates a greater potential for recovery and decreases the possibility of additional hospital stays.

Inpatient services include:

  • Abstinence-based treatment programs consisting of individual and group counseling
  • Recovery/relapse prevention skills
  • Introduction to the appropriate 12-step program (such as Alcoholics Anonymous)
  • Discharge planning
  • Groups and family counseling sessions

An individual treatment plan is developed for each patient that addresses the major issues contributing to their addiction and mental health problems. Treatment is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of caring professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, licensed therapists and mental health associates.

Length of stay is determined on an individual basis.
