ABS Positions for Greater Service Integration and New Growth

We are eager to engage our employees and referral sources in a collaborative planning process which will result in a significant makeover of Alternative Behavioral Services in the upcoming months. Our primary objectives:

  • to offer a more robust array of services, from community to residential, everywhere we operate, all of it integrated so clients can get what they need, when they need it;
  • to organize our current programs, state by state, to be even more responsive to referral sources and families; and
  • to provide staff with more job opportunities, as well as additional and diverse types of career-related learning opportunities.

In the process of achieving these objectives, there are many action steps we must take together. The ABS expansion is marked by an enhancement to our name. Changes are being made to begin doing business as ABS LINCS, which stands for Linking Individuals, Neighborhoods and Clinical Services. There will be an entity in each state where we have programs known as ABS LINCS VA, ABS LINCS PR, ABS LINCS TN, etc. With the emphasis on LINCS, we hope to rally our many stakeholders around a clinical thrust which ensures that each client we serve has maximum opportunity to gain from participation in family-focused, strength-based community programs. Establishing different regions under the ABS LINCS name will help further unify resources and support staff. The redefinition and reorganization will enhance the participation of all stakeholders in the family recovery process.
